Confessional, Round 8 « Thread Started on Aug 15, 2006, 1:43am »
I can't believe I've been thwarted twice in a row now.
Okay, I can believe it. The Spies used the rules to their advantage to get 2 more Citizens out and bought themselves 2 more rounds. I want to bitch and complain and say that it's not fair, but I know better. The rules are there for all to see.
I fucked up this round by not assuring Allison. That was my mistake this round. I thought I had made it clear that "Anna was the target", but in retrospect, I didn't. I fucked up there and it cost me the game. Allison sensed something was up and she took the appropriate steps.
Looking at the last 2 votes, it is clear that Rodney and Allison are working together. Last round Allison's vote helped ensure that Rodney stayed, and this round Rodney's vote and accusation gave Allison the votes she needed to stay in.
The longer this game goes, the more frustrated and angry I get. The more deliberately cruel I get too - I am now showing very nearly absolutely no decency or respect towards Rodney, Nicole, or Allison. So far as I'm concerned, Rodney and Nicole are the idiotic dipshits of the game (they want to vote out Karl regardless of what I say, they refuse to discuss the game, they refuse to discuss the vote, they are rude and deliberately obtuse, and show no capacity for any advanced thinking). The sooner this game is over, the better, because I can't stand them anymore. Rodney and his fucking "It's OK for me to act as if I'm mentally and emotionally handicapped because it's just the way I am, so put up with me" act has gotten on my last nerves. Nicole and her incredible selfishness and stubbornness have pushed me to my breaking points. And as for Allison? I'm mean to her now because I can be. Because I know she'll put up with it. Because regardless of what she said in her conversation, she needs me and has needed me all along to keep the target after her. Next time I go after her, I won't fail. And now that I know I can say whatever I want to her, that I can be as deliberately mean to her and she'll still keep talking to me, well, I don't like what it's doing to me and I don't like how I now think of her. She's not like Rodney or Nicole. She's a smart girl and can be pretty nice. She is probably just trying to play the game, and I shouldn't cause her any unnecessary problems. I don't give a flying fuck if Rodney or Nicole or Davoni are angry at me after the game. I am not interested in them or their opinions. But I would not like to see Allison hate me after the game because I know she's perceptive enough that if she thinks I'm that low, then perhaps I need to reevaluate a few things.
I know I'm going to be imprisoned next, and since there's nothing I can do about it, I might as well make peace with it. I can prevent my own exiling, but I can't prevent my own imprisonment.
I am terribly sorry that Antonio went. I am glad I got the chance to get to know him better this game. He was a joy to converse with and fun to bounce ideas off of. I enjoyed his PMs and seeing how much he picked up from the little information he was given. I think he's redeemed himself from Spies 1 and showed that he can play this game intelligently. He made a mistake with the identity thing, but that's over and done with and he won't do it again if there's a next time. I look forward to seeing him after the finale.
Same with Jenna. She was a dear. She drove me nuts sometimes in a way that only she can, but we always have fun as we go along. I love that I can see through her bullshit most of the time, and that she knows I can so she tells me the truth. It's a good game friendship. I look forward to seeing her at the finale also.
Once I'm gone, I hope that Karl, Tyson, and Derek will pick the pieces up and get the Spies out. If Tyson is duping me, he's done one hell of a job. I haven't seriously suspected him for a second. I hope those 3 take the win.
Possible pairs: Allison-Anna, Allison-Derek, Allison-Rodney, Anna-Derek, Anna-Rodney, Derek-Rodney.
Which pairs are unlikely?
Anna-Derek: Both are hardly ever around. Derek and I are usually around at the same time, and of course Rodney's on all of the time, but that's about it. Derek's not even on during exile time. Anna only signs on 30 minutes before exile. And it's been that way for the whole game. It would be very poor Spy strategy to have both Spies not be around during exile time.
But more importantly, Derek's voted Anna twice - including in an 8-7 vote. The fact that he's voted for her twice are strikes 1 & 2, and the fact that it was so close is strike 3.
Anna-Rodney: In round 3, Rodney also voted for Anna in the very close vote. In round 6, Anna voted for Rodney in a very close vote.
Allison-Derek: Derek's always trying to trick Allison into one thing or another. He voted her last round and is frantically trying to get Allison out this round too. Allison also is trying to set Derek up; when she and I talked tonight, she only accused 2 people of being Spies: Derek and Karl.
We're left with 3 pairs that are surprisingly very likely:
Allison-Rodney: Allison did not vote for Rodney in round 6, preferring to vote Lindsay instead. Had Derek voted for Rodney, her vote would've been the tiebreaker. Rodney's 2 votes for Antonio in round 7 were crucial in keeping Allison in the game. Allison is very neutral while discussing Rodney - she makes it a point to say she neither suspects nor (nonsuspects? LOL) him.
Allison-Anna: The two have clung to the "safe" people on nearly every vote. Anna could keep herself clean of the Allison vote last round by voting for Rodney and giving an accusation vote to Antonio. Anna, Allison, and Leo all voted for Nicole in round 3 - perhaps to save Anna? Anna's only Spy option is Allison. Leo made fun of Anna for being useless. Haha. More than 1 way to read into that.
Derek-Rodney: Derek's totally protecting Rodney. Totally. He's really going after Anna/Allison - to protect his Spy buddy or due to some twisted version of loyalty to a mute robot? Rodney has said he suspects Derek but has never acted upon it. Derek also threw away his vote in the Rodney exile - another crazy scheme to appear "less obvious"?
My gut says that Allison is a Spy. Has the whole game.
And on an offnote: Anna-Nicole: Lord knows Nicole's been a belligerent bitch, so that shoe fits. And she didn't defend herself during the round 3 exile. Maybe Nicole and Leo agreed that Anna's safety had to be placed above her own.

Quote from Imprisonment 4: So, I agreed to cancel abilities this round because I guess I can see their point. I will confirm this for you in your confessional if it applies. I don’t know if that was a very smart thing to do, however. Because the Spies have a special ability as well… something that can help them in their quest to rid the Burg of Citizens once and for all. And they just cancelled it this round.
What if the Spies' extra power was to have an extra vote in an exile, disguised as an accusation vote? Tiffany, a Citizen, had it done to her once as part of a gamble. Maybe the Spies used it for Allison also.

I'm not mad, so no worries, but I think you need to lighten up on the players, because if this wasn't a game, I would've kicked your ass. You treated people poorly, and made them hate talking to you.
On that note - one of the worst parts of being a Spy is having to imprison people you don't think deserve it. Tanner I disliked anyway as a character (sorry Tanner!) but Adriana was really bad (at least the first time round - LOL.) Betty's imprisonment sucked for all kinds of reasons, not the least of which was 'cause I'd really liked her during the few convos we'd had. The worst by far was Tiffany though, and not just because I liked her. After that Davoni I think on some level just gave up (at least she wasn't close to doing anything like another "Roger"), Adriana hated me for a while, and the whole mood of the game dropped.
