IMPRISONMENT #6
Life continued on in the Burg as usual, despite the shock of the unexpected events of the recent week. It seemed like forever ago that the first Spy was caught. Since then, two huge personalities had been lost from the Burg: Tiffany Imprisoned by the Spies and Davoni Exiled by the Burg. Everyone noticed the silence from their absence in everyday activities. But life continued on, as it always did. Who would fill the shoes of these two great personalities? Who would be suspected next and who would carry the torch for fallen Citizens?
This thought is the last thing two villagers had on their mind, twiddling their thumbs at their cubicles. Bored, one crumpled up a piece of paper on her desk and threw it at the other, who barely managed to dodge it in time.
and
Anna and Antonio were engaging in a playful war across the office. Trash cans filled with papers were emptied for ammo in the form of crumpled paper and paper airplanes. Paper clips were being hurled across the room and rubber bands soon followed. The two miscreants were having a blast fighting it out with office supplies.
Not everyone was having quite that level of enjoyment. Anna ducked to avoid a rubber band coming straight at her. The rubber band ricocheted off the metal behind her and came straight at a coworker, snapping him in the back of then neck. Grimacing, this person turned around from their work to see what all the commotion was about.
and
Rashma and Derek had been busy trying to get their work done amidst flying projectiles, but as soon as they were inadvertently struck both entered the war themselves. More office supplies flew into the air as the surrounding office quickly became a mess of staples, rubber bands, paper clips, and stray paper.
Derek picked up a flexible plastic cylinder used to bind pieces of paper together like a notebook. Shouting “En garde!” he began swinging his weapon towards Anna, who quickly armed herself with one as well and began to parry. The mock battle took the two out of the cubicle and down the hall. Engaged in their little battle, neither noticed the two coming around the corner. The two newcomers quickly stopped, disapproving of the child’s play. Derek and Anna continued their fencing match, finally stopping as they came within a foot of the two.
and
Rodney and Jenna turned the corner to see that yet another all-out-war had been starting in the office without them. This wasn’t the first time they had to deal with rambunctious co-workers and clean up after them. Since the end of the day was so near, they knew that no more work would be accomplished for the day.
“Since you four are so fond of creating such a giant mess with piles of junk,” said Jenna. “Why don’t you accompany us to the junkyard tonight? We were thinking of heading over there to look for useable supplies and possible clues. Who knows what the Spies might have thrown away?”
The four agreed and left the office early to head over to the junkyard. It was a gigantic junkyard just like you’d see in the movies. Twenty foot piles of metal surrounded the junkyard. Trashed cars and unusable electronics were stacked upon each other like giant graham crackers fifteen feet high. There were even deteriorating stacks of trains piled up in the middle of the junkyard. Each train cabin was eight feet across, ten feet high, and thirty feet long. The pile of them lay haphazardly against each other like some gigantic piece of art. It was awe-inspiring.
Rodney, Rashma, Anna, Antonio, Derek, and Jenna began to spread out and search the junkyard for clues. They walk among the gigantic piles of trash and begin to dig in to the open containers on the edges. Anna pulls up her dress pants and begins to walk into a pile of garbage, looking for anything interesting. Derek begins to upend piles of electronics to see if anything still works. Jenna kicks around some an open collection of papers, seeing if any noteworthy words catch her eye.
Suddenly, a loud humming noise is heard in the distance. It sounds as if something has been turned on. It sounds like some large, old machine has just been revved up and turned on. The noise gets louder as the thing gets closer….
Suddenly, Antonio points to the sky. A gigantic tower looms over the junkyard. Attached the tower like a wrecking ball is a gigantic magnetic circle. It hangs from the outreach of the arm. The magnetic tower is slowly rotating towards you. The magnet begins to descend slowly as it approaches surely, coming towards someone with a thick metal belt and heavy metal earrings…
The magnetic arm is getting closer! It begins to descend, coming fatefully towards one of the six. Slowly but surely it drops, homing in straight on its target….
Rashma, please post Final Words in your confessional immediately.
Rashma has been framed by the Spies for a crime she didn't commit. She has been Imprisoned by the Government.
